Golf Wraps up Fall Segment at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team completed the fall portion of its schedule as the Leopards played at the 82nd Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship.

After finishing Sunday's round in 16th place with a 332, Wentworth shaved 10 strokes off of its total on Monday, shooting a 322 for a two-round total of 654 and finishing tied for 11th place with St. Joseph's (Maine) among 20 Division III schools.

Sophomore Dan Howard (Westwood, Mass.) earned medalist honors for the Leopards, shooting a 157 (79-78) and finished tied for 15th in the 99-player field. Junior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) carded a 163 (82-81) which tied him for 39th. Senior Zach Sousa (Middleboro, Mass.) had an impressive second round, rebounding from an 87 on Sunday to a 77 on Monday and jumping from being tied for 79th to finishing tied for 46th with a 164. Junior Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) finished tied for 72nd with a 170 (84-86) to round out Wentworth's top four scores. Sophomore Zach Downing (Clinton, Mass.) finished tied for 93rd after a two-day total of 182 (91-91).
