Nick Cullinan named to ABCA’s All-Defensive Team for Region II; posted a .997 fielding percentage
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Wentworth Institute of Technology baseball team as Nick Cullinan was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Defensive Team for Region II.
Cullinan represents the Leopards on the Region II team along with three other student-athletes from the Conference of New England. The senior is the third member of the Black & Gold to earn a regional honor in the last three years, joining Christian Roncal, who was named an ABCA All-Defensive Region II member in 2024, and A.T. DiPina, who was named to the ABCA All-Region Third Team in 2024.
In 2026. Cullinan sported an outstanding fielding percentage of .997 while playing 39 games for the Leopards. He totaled 291 putouts on 308 chances to go with 16 assists and 19 double plays.
The senior hit .346 on the season with 54 hits, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, and a .429 slugging percentage.
Cullinan was named the Conference of New England Scholar Athlete of the Year for both ice hockey and baseball for the 2025-26 season and earned CNE All-Conference Second Team honors. He was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team earlier this month.
