Carrier Named CCC Player of the Week
Senior Trey Carrier averaged a double-double in a 1-1 week for the Leopards, including scoring 26 points at Western New England
BOSTON, Mass. – After helping to lead the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team to a 1-1 record, senior Trey Carrier (Wilton, N.H.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week. Carrier earns the honor for games played from February 7-13.
Carrier averaged 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor. He scored 26 points (on 12-of-22 shooting) and grabbed nine rebounds in a 79-66 loss at Western New England and recorded his ninth double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-62 win at Suffolk. In that game he scored the go-ahead basket with 43 seconds left to cap off a Leopard comeback.
On the season, Carrier is averaging a team-leading 19.2 points per game to go along with a team-leading 9.9 rebounds per game.
