Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Excellence Award; Four Named to Honors Court
Black & Gold claim seventh Team Excellence Award in last eight seasons; Jack Connell, Tyler Stewart, Niko Rosich, and Nathaniel Smith each named to Honors Court for the second straight season
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its 13th annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2024-2025 season. Wentworth has earned the Team Excellence Award again in 2024-2025, marking the seventh team honor in the last eight seasons.
In addition to the team earning an NABC Team Excellence Award, the Leopards had four student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court, with each of the four being repeat honorees from a season ago. Jack Connell, Tyler Stewart, Niko Rosich, and Nathaniel Smith each finished the 2024-2025 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
