Men’s Basketball Faces Setback Against Nichols Colin Mannke led the team with 25 points on 7-15 shooting while Davis Lunn went 4-6 from three with 14 points.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team fell 108-83 to the Nichols Bison on Tuesday night. Colin Mannke led the Black & Gold with 25 points on 7-15 shooting to go with five rebounds and two steals. Davis Lunn added 14 points, shooting 4-6 from behind the arc and a team-high three assists. Jayden Williams added 10 points and two assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nichols shot well to open the game, taking an 11-3 lead early on. Russel Dolabany got the Leopards on the board with a three. Donovan Holway and Lunn scored five points to cut the deficit to six, but the Bison responded to extend the lead to eight. Nichols pushed the lead to 24-15 at the midway mark of the first half.
- Wentworth went scoreless for over three minutes as the Bison stayed hot from behind the arc, pushing the lead to 14 with 7:19 to play in the half. Jayden Williams and Dolabany got on the scoresheet, but Nichols' lead stayed in double figures. The Bison led 59-30 at the half, shooting 10-14 from three in the opening 20 minutes.
- Mannke scored five quick points to open the second half to get the Leopards' offense moving. Javen Flowers-Smith was dominant for the Bison, adding to his tally in the first 90 seconds to give the visitors a 30-point edge. The Leopards hit free throws and got buckets from Williams and Andy Weeman, trailing 87-55 with 10 minutes to play.
- Nichols maintained their lead over the next few minutes with Lunn hitting a triple to add to his tally. Lunn and Mannke hit threes on the next two possessions, cutting into the lead. The Bison went on to win the game comfortably, 108-83.
