Golf Captures Mitchell Invitational
Leopards place four in the top five, shooting a 298; Garrett Kendall earns medalist honors with a 72

GROTON, Conn. – With four of the five student-athletes placing in the top five, the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team raced to a first-place finish at the Mitchell Invitational II, played at the par 71 Shennecossett Golf Course.
The Leopards broke the 300 barrier, carding a 298 on the day to defeat Lesley (328) and Mitchell (371).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Garrett Kendall was the medalist of the tournament as he shot a +1 72 on the day. Kendall had five birdies on the day, including three on the back nine.
- Milaad Madadi and Ryan Vincent each tied for second as both finished with a score of 74. Vincent birdied the 18th hole to finish the back nine at +1.
- Ethan Lackner closed out the Leopards' scoring golfers with a fifth-place finish, carding a 78.
- Jon Dumais rounded out the impressive top five sweep as he placed sixth with an 80 on the day. Dumais recorded a pair of birdies on the front nine.
