Golf Closes out Fall Season at NEIGA Championships
Leopards finish 11th at the annual event, just three strokes out of the top 10' Jon Dumais ties for 26th overall, leading three golfers in the top 50
BREWSTER, Mass. – After shooting a 303 as a team in Sunday's second round, the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team jumped three places and posted an 11th-place finish at the 2025 NEIGA Championship, played this weekend at the Captains Course.
The Leopards' two-day total of 628 was just three spots out of a three-way tie for eighth place. The University of Hartford captured the team title with a 598, while Western New England's Derek Johnson was the individual winner, carding a two-day total of even par 144.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jon Dumais was Wentworth's medalist as he tied for 26th with a 154. Dumais had five birdies on the weekend, including three on Sunday where he jumped five spots up the leaderboard.
- Milaad Madadi had a huge Sunday where he moved 28 spots up the leaderboard after shooting a two-over 74. For the tournament, he finished tied for 31st with a 155, which included five birdies.
- Garrett Kendall finished tied for 43rd with a two-day total of 158, which included four birdies. Two of those birdies came on the back nine on Saturday, where he shot one-under.
- A hot start on the front nine on Sunday saw Ryan Vincent record four birdies and finish two under. He had a three-over 75 on the day and a two-day total of 165. Between Saturday and Sunday, he moved up 34 spots on the leaderboard.
- Ethan Lackner finished tied for 95th on the weekend, after shooting 170. Lackner had a pair of birdies on the front nine on Saturday.
