Peck Repeats as ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week
Junior goaltender Alex Peck earns top goalie honors for third time this season after a 2-0 week with a 1.50 goals against average and a save percentage of .947
BOSTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week and third time this season, junior goaltender Alex Peck (Kirkland, Que.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team has earned ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week honors.
Peck helped the Leopards run their winning streak to five, unbeaten streak to six, and conference win streak to six with a pair of wins. He recorded a 1.50 goals against average and a save percentage of .947. In a 3-2 win over Johnson & Wales he had a career-high 31 saves and finished the week by making 23 saves in a 5-1 win over Western New England.
Starting 13 of the 15 games in which he has appeared, Peck is 8-4-2 on the season with a 2.29 goals against average and a.906 save percentage to go along with two shutouts. In 42 career games he is 24-13-4 with a program-best 2.25 goals against average, a .910 save percentage, and three shutouts.
Sitting at 9-10-2 overall and 7-3 in ECAC Northeast play, Wentworth hosts Nichols Tuesday night. Entering the game the Leopards sit one point behind the league-leading Bison.
