Stancescu Earns CCC Weekly Honors
Sophomore Radu Stancescu won 20-of-26 face-offs and scooped up 15 ground balls in the Leopards' 19-3 win over LaGrange
BOSTON, Mass. – In the final installment of the 2020 Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly honors, Wentworth Institute of Technology sophomore Radu Stancescu (Suffern, N.Y.) was named the CCC Specialist of the Week. Stancescu earns the award for games played from March 9-15.
In Wentworth's 19-3 win over LaGrange, Stanescu was a force at the X, winning 20-of-26 draws and also scooping up 15 ground balls.
Stanescu played in all five of Wentworth's games this season winning 64 percent (57-of-89) face-offs and led the team in ground balls with 32.
Wentworth finished the 2020 season with a 4-1 record.
