Colorado College Pulls Away from Men's Lacrosse
Tigers use a 5-0 run late in the third and early in the fourth quarters to take the win; Tony Corrado and Brendan Kroll each score two goals and add an assist

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Matt Hudson scored four goals and assisted on two others as the Colorado College men's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth Institute of Technology, 14-8, in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.
With the win the Tigers improve to 4-1 on the season while the Leopards fall to 3-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fifty-seven seconds into the game, Wentworth took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Tony Corrado. The lead stood until the 12:26 mark when Colorado College scored the first of three straight goals to lead, 3-1, with 1:45 left. With 29 seconds left in the frame, Tyler Longo scored a man-up goal, making it 3-2.
- After Hudson scored with 9:39 on the clock in the second quarter, Richard Roy brought the Leopards back to within a goal when he scored 2:26 later. The Tigers scored the next three of the period to extend their lead to 7-3 at the break.
- The Black & Gold outscored their hosts by a 3-2 margin with Kroll scoring twice in the frame. A minute and 16 into the period, he scored from Longo and added a man-up goal with 3:10 left to make it 8-5. Corrado pulled Wentworth to within two when he scored from Longo with 21 seconds left, however, off the ensuing faceoff, Colorado College scored to make it 9-6.
- Scoring four times in a span of 7:02, the Tigers extended their lead to 13-6. Jake Caraluzzi and Gabe Cobham scored late for the Leopards, with Cobham's marker being Wentworth's third man-up goal of the game.
- Kroll and Corrado each had two goals and an assist while Longo and Cobham each had a goal and two assists. Keegan Buffa led Wentworth with six ground balls. Caraluzzi, Sal Panetta, Kyle Leger, and Dante Strong each caused two turnovers.
- A.J. Smith made 15 saves for the Leopards, who had a 44-42 shot advantage.
SERIES NOTES:
- Today was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
