BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its season with a match at Bridgewater State. The Leopards were defeated by the Bears, 7-0.
Bridgewater State improves to 1-1 while Wentworth slips to 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Despite Bridgewater State taking two of three doubles matches to lead, 1-0, Wentworth's No. 1 doubles tandem of Andre Juscamaita and Rene Rodriguez picked up a 7-6 (8-6) win.
- No. 2 doubles saw a close match where Eric Sechen and James Weete were defeated, 6-4.
- Three singles matches went three sets. Juscamaita was defeated at No. 1, 0-6, 6-2, 1-6, Rodriguez fell at No. 2, 6-4, 3-6, 5-10, and James Weete lost at No. 4, 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 4-10.
