Eight Records Fall as Outdoor Track Kicks Off Season
Several members of the Wentworth outdoor track and field team set program and personal records, as the Leopards started the outdoor season strong.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track & field team rewrote the record books Saturday, March 26, as eight team records fell on the day.
Junior Annabel Chu (Raynham, Mass.) set the mark in the women's 1500 meter run, while freshman Eli Sleasman (Albany, N.Y.) took the pole vault record. Sophomore Tyler Klockars (Phillipston, Mass.) set the javelin record, freshman Scott Stehlik (Northport, N.Y.) set the 400 meter dash record, and sophomore Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) set the mark in the 800 meter dash. Freshman Ryan Abbotoni (Windham, Maine) picked up the 200 meter dash record, and both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams set new records as well.
