Bishop Repeats as All-New England in the Heptathlon
Oliver Bishop broke his own program record by scoring 4340 points to earn his second straight All-New England accolade
MEDFORD, Mass. – For the second season in a row, Oliver Bishop of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's indoor track & field team has earned All-New England honors at the Division III New England Indoor Track & Field Championships. Bishop earned his second straight All-New England nod in the Heptathlon, scoring a program-record 4,340 points.
Bishop, who was eighth last season, surpassed the program record he set nearly 13 months ago by 55 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bishop picked up a pair of third-place finishes in the 1000M run (2:49.29) and the 60M hurdles (8.77 seconds), while placing fourth in the high jump (1.79M).
- He notched a pair of 10th-place finishes in the long jump (6.00M) and the 60M dash (7.48 seconds).
- Bishop placed 11th in the shot put (8.80M)

- Selected members of the Leopards will compete in the remainder of the Division III New England Championships at the TRACK at New Balance.
