Men’s Track & Field Opens the Season at Tymann Invite
Teddy Doyle and Evan McIntire finished top five in the 5000m; Jace Matthew takes third in the 100m

WENHAM, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's track & field team opened the outdoor campaign at the Tymann Invite on Friday. The Leopards had a good showing with six athletes finishing in the top six of their events.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A pair of runners took top five finishes in the 5000m. Teddy Doyle finished second with a time of 15:49.76 and Evan McIntire placed fifth, coming in at a time of 16:09.23.
- Jace Matthew had a strong showing in the 100m dash, finishing third with a time of 11.46. Hayden Pierce finished eighth in the 800m, coming in with a time of 2:09.70.
- Jack Newton finished fourth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:16.26. Dylan Brilliant finished ninth, coming in at 4:26.19, to give the Leopards two top 10 finishers.
- Gabe Silva placed seventh in the 200m with a time of 23.69 seconds.
- Julian Sacca took second in the shot put with a throw of 13.21m. Nicholas Franqui placed seventh the shot put open with a throw of 11.19m.
- The two 4x100 relay teams finished in the top seven, with the relay of Ian Sasse, Anthony Medawar, Ruben Sistachs, and Jace Matthew finishing fifth with a time of 45.57 seconds. Kevin DeCollibus, William Stewart, Gabriel Silva, and Sincere Duffaut finished seventh with a time of 50.31 seconds.
- In the javelin, Joe Packowski finished fifth with a throw of 45.88m.
