Matthew earns his first weekly award after a strong showing in the Leopards’ first outdoor meet of the season

BOSTON, Mass. – Jace Matthew of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's track & field team earned Conference of New England Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

The freshman started the outdoor season strong with a third place finish in the 100m dash, finishing with a time of 11.46, at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Friday.

The Leopards are back in action on Saturday at the Springfield Classic hosted by Springfield College.
