Men’s Track & Field Has Strong Showing at Silfen Invitational
Ryan Ballard won the 1500m run and Oliver Bishop had a strong performance in the decathlon

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's track & field team had another strong showing at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College on Friday and Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ryan Ballard won the 1500m, coming in with a time of 3:56.05, beating the second place finisher by eight seconds.
- Oliver Bishop finished fifth in the Decathlon 100m, coming in with a time of 11.63. Bishop also took second in the Decathlon long jump with a jump of 5.92m and with a jump of 1.77m, he took second in the Decathlon high jump. Bishop took third in the Decathlon 400m with a time of 51.99.
- Jack Newton finished eighth in the 800m with a time of 1:57.41 and took sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.56.
- Ezra Blasko took fifth in the 10,000m with a time of 31:23.39.
- Dominic Simpri tied for fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.86m while Joe Packowski finished sixth in the javelin with a throw of 47.40m.
- The 4x100 relay of Kevin DeCollibus, William Stewart, Gabriel Silva, and Sincere Duffaut took fourth with a time of 44.24.
