Alem Dubcak Named AVCA Division III Player of the Week
Dubcak becomes the fourth player to earn the honor in program history
LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a career-best performance in a five-set win over #16 MIT, Alem Dubcak was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. The junior becomes the fourth player in program history to earn the AVCA honor.
Dubcak played all five sets and tallied a career-high 23 kills on 35 swings, hitting .543 in the match. The junior averaged 4.6 kills per set and 1.6 digs per set to help the Black & Gold to its second ranked win of the season.
#11 Wentworth (7-1, 0-0 GNAC) takes on Emmanuel (5-5, 0-0 GNAC) on Thursday to open conference play.
