McSolla Named CCC Rookie of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for races run the weekend on August 29-31.

McSolla made the Leopards' first-ever race as a varsity program a memorable one, as he captured 10th place in a 98-runner field at the Emmanuel College Fens Classic. McSolla's three-mile time of 15:50 was just 30 seconds behind the first-place runner and lifted the Leopards to a fourth-place finish out of eight teams.

The Leopards are set to run this Saturday (Sept. 6) at the Roger Williams Invitational.
