ECAC Names McSolla Rookie of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshman Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team had a second weekly honor bestowed on him as he was named the ECAC Corvias Men's Cross Country Division III New England Rookie of the Week.

McSolla made the Leopards' first-ever race as a varsity program a memorable one, as he captured 10th place in a 98-runner field at the Emmanuel College Fens Classic. McSolla's three-mile time of 15:50 was just 30 seconds behind the first-place runner and lifted the Leopards to a fourth-place finish out of eight teams.

The Leopards return to action on Saturday at the Roger Williams Invitational.
