Blasko, Doyle Pace Men's Cross Country in Season-Opening Meet
Ezra Blasko and Teddy Doyle each placed in among the top 50 as the Leopards finished eighth as a team

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Ezra Blasko and Teddy Doyle each placed among the top 50 runners to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team kick off the 2025 season with an eighth-place finish at the University of Hartford Short course Invitational.
The Leopards scored 194 points as a team at the 5K event.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Blasko, the reigning Conference of New England Rookie of the Year and an all-region performer a season ago, picked up right where he left off, finishing seventh with a time of 16:19.2.
- Doyle placed 37th (35 points) after crossing the line in a time of 17:24.1.
- Mark Murphy finished just outside of the top 50 (51st), earning 45 points with a time of 18:06.3.
- Nathan Bergquist-Guimond placed 63rd (53 points), finishing the race in a time of 18:24.2.
- Rounding out Wentworth's scoring runners was Dylan Brilliant, who was 65th (54 points) with a time of 18:28.7.
- Sean Guiliano placed 73rd (18:44.7), Everett Miller was 75th (18:47.1), Nate Lowe finished 84th (19:24.3), Jack Grater was 85th (19:38.2), and Hayden Pierce finished 86th (19:39.9).
- Alexandro Velasquez placed 89th (19:46.8), Brendan Purvis was 104th (20:38.2), and David Sader was 117th (23:13.7).
