Men's Cross Country Captures Pop Crowell Invitational
Leopards place three among the top 10 runners, including Ezra Blasko who finished third, to take home the trophy

WENHAM, Mass. – Placing three student-athletes among the top 10, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team kicked off its 8K race season on a high note, capturing the Pop Crowell Invitational, which was run on the campus of Gordon College.
The Leopards scored 61 points as a team, besting host Gordon (82) and Fitchburg State (84).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the second week in a row, Ezra Blasko led the Leopards as he finished third with a time of 26:41.3.
- Ryan Ballard picked up a seventh-place finish, crossing the line in a time of 27:11.0.
- Teddy Doyle rounded out the Leopards' finishers among the top 10 with an eighth-place finish (27:30.4).
- Mark Murphy finished 19th (18 points) with a time of 28:16.7.
- Nathan Bergquist-Guimond rounded out Wentworth's scoring runners after picking up 25 points with a 28th-place finish (28:44.5).
- Sean Giuliano finished 33rd (29:13.0), Dylan Brilliant was 34th (29:14.6), Jacob Thomas came in 35th (29:20.0), Everett Miller placed 39th (29:33.3), Nate Lowe placed 59th (30:57.8), Alexandro Velasquez finished 66th (31:26.7), Brendan Purvis was 67th (31:35.5), while David Sader was 101st (36:12.5).
