Men's Cross Country has Strong Showing at Paul Short Invitational
Competing in the Green Race, the Leopards post a sixth-place finish with four runners among the top 100; Ryan Ballard (eighth) and Ezra Blasko (ninth) finish among the top 10
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Placing four scoring runners among the top 100, including two in the top 10, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team finished sixth at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational, held on the campus of Lehigh University. The Leopards competed in the Green Race, which had 35 scoring teams finish.
Both the Leopards' sixth-place finish and 228 points were program bests among the three times Wentworth has competed in this event (2017, 2019, 2025).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ryan Ballard and Ezra Blasko paced the Black & Gold finishing eighth (26:12.3) and ninth, respectively. This was the first time Wentworth had a pair of runners in the top 10 and Ballard's eighth-place finish was tops for the Leopards since Alex Robbins '18 won the event in 2017.
- Teddy Doyle posted a 43rd-place finish, crossing the line in a time of 27:19.5.
- Mark Murphy completed the 8K course in a time of 27:54.1 to place 69th.
