Ballard, Blasko Headline CNE Cross Country All-Conference Honors
Ryan Ballard was named the Scholar Athlete of the Year and earned all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive year. Ezra Blasko joins Ballard on the All-CNE First Team and Teddy Doyle earned All-CNE Second Team honors. Evan McIntire was named to the CNE Community Service Team.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Following a second-place finish at the Conference of New England Championship, four members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team have earned CNE All-Conference honors. Ryan Ballard earns his fourth straight all-conference selection and was named the Scholar Athlete of the Year with a 3.887 GPA as an Electromechanical Engineering major with a Business Management minor.
Ezra Blasko was named to the All-CNE First Team, his second career honor after winning Rookie of the Year last season. Teddy Doyle gets his first all-conference honor after being selected to the All-CNE Second Team. Evan McIntire rounds out this year's honorees as a member of the All-CNE Community Service Team.
Wentworth had three runners finish in the top 10 at the CNE Championship, with Blasko as the Leopards' top finisher, coming in with a time of 25:56.63 to finish third overall. Ballard finished fifth with a season-best time of 26:03.40 while Doyle recorded a personal best time of 26:16.38 to finish eighth.
McIntire was named the Leopards' member of the CNE Community Service Team. He serves as a Lead Community Advisor, working in first-year residence hall as a resource for the Wentworth community.
