Blasko, Ballard Earn All-Region as Men's Cross Country Places Ninth at NCAA East Regional Meet
Ezra Blasko (19th) and Ryan Ballard (27th) earn all-region honors to help the Leopards to their best-ever finish at the NCAA regional meet

HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team posted its best NCAA Regional finish in program history and had two student-athletes earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors on Saturday morning.
The Leopards scored 327 points as a team to finish ninth, cracking the top 10 for the first time in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ezra Blasko led the way finishing 19th (19 points). He crossed the line with a personal best time of 25:10.9.
- Ryan Ballard notched a personal-best time of 25:29.9 to finish 27th (27 points).
- Both Blasko and Ballard earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors for finishing among the top 35 runners. This is Blasko's second straight all-region honor. Additionally, Blasko's 19th-place finish earned him Division III All-New England honors.
- Joey Cotta placed 83rd (83 points), finishing with a personal-best time of 27:10.9.
- Teddy Doyle finished with a time of 27:26.5 to place 96th (95 points).
- Mark Murphy rounded out Wentworth's scorers with a 104th-place finish (103 points) after finishing with a time of 27:32.4.
- Evan McIntire posted a 116th-place finish (personal-best 27:45.9).
- Everett Miller finished 133rd with a time of 28:09.4, also a personal best.
NEXT UP:
- Blasko is in contention for a possible at-large berth to the NCAA Championship. This will be announced on Sunday (November 16) afternoon.
