Reno Earns Second CCC Rookie of the Week Honor
Freshman Madyson Reno scored a pair of goals in a 5-0 win over Nichols to earn her second conference rookie of the week award in the last three weeks
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the second time in the last three weeks, freshman Madyson Reno (Simi Valley, Calif.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Reno picks up the honor for games played from October 5-11.
Reno helped run the Leopards' win streak to five games as she scored a pair of goals – one in each half – in a 5-0 win over Nichols. She scored Wentworth's third goal of the game, coming at 23:05, and rounded out the game's scoring with a goal at 71:04.
Starting 11 of the 13 games in which she has played and is tied for the team lead with six points while her 12 points is second among her teammates.
Wentworth is 10-2-1 and is at Framingham State on Wednesday afternoon. The 10 wins for the Leopards marks the first time the Black & Gold have reached double digits since the 2005 season.
