Women's Soccer Posts Fifth Shutout of the Season
Leopards play Curry to a 0-0 tie for their fifth clean sheet of the season

MILTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team posted its fifth shutout of the season as the Leopards tied Curry, 0-0, in Conference of New England play Saturday afternoon.
The Leopards stand at 3-1-4 (0-1-1) while the Colonels are 2-4-1 (0-1-1).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The teams traded shots on net within 21 seconds of each other in the early going but were unable to break through.
- In the 22nd minute, a corner kick by Brianna Reid found the foot of Jen Londregan but her attempt sailed just high of the mark.
- Wentworth had a shot attempt in the 41st minute that Brooke Finlay put on net but was saved by Lexi Smardon.
- The Leopards applied early pressure in the beginning of the second half, with a pair of shot attempts and a corner kick but were unable to capitalize.
- In the 81st minute, Bryce Bateman had a chance to put the Black & Gold on top but at the last minute a Curry back line player cleared the ball out.
- The Colonels had a chance early in the 88th minute with Emily Gamboa Ordini coming up with a save.
- With 1:15 left, Kyra Forsberg put a shot towards the net but it went just wide.
- Gamboa Ordini made three saves as the Leopards had a 14-7 shot advantage and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
- Today was the 29th all-time meeting between the two teams. Wentworth leads 17-8-4.
