Mercadante Claims CNE Postseason Recognition
Sydney Mercadante reps the Leopards as the Black & Gold's first-ever member of the CNE Community Service Team
BEVERLY, Mass. – Sydney Mercadante of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's outdoor track and field team earned postseason recognition from the Conference of New England Wednesday afternoon, being named the Leopards' first-ever representative on the conference's inaugural Community Service Team.
Off the track, Mercadante coaches voluntarily for a soccer program in her hometown of Auburn, Mass. The sophomore also helped establish Wentworth Athletics' partnership with the Johnson Center over the course of her two seasons with the team. On the track, Mercadante is often relied upon to help fill out relay squads and serves as an advocate for her teammates and prospective athletes.
