Women's Indoor Track Continues to Re-Write Record Book
Four records fall and a fifth was tied as the Leopards competed at a pair of meets this weekend

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's indoor track & field team competed at a pair of meets this weekend as the Leopards were at the Tufts Cupid Challenge and the Lynn Ruddy Invitational. The Black & Gold saw four records fall with top performances.
HOW IT HAPPENED (TUFTS CUPID CHALLENGE):
- Princess Nimely had a fourth-place finish in the 60M dash, setting a program record with a time of 8.52.
- Alexis Heretakis set a program record in the 200M with a time of 27.88, good for 16th.
- Emma Schaumloffel broke her own record in the 5000M with a time of 19:26.36, which was good for 19th overall.
- The 4X400M relay squad of Kirsten Alexson, Alexis Heretakis, Makayla Gasper, and Anabelle Mendez placed sixth with a program record time of 4:35.01. This time bested the previous mark of over four seconds.
- In the Pentathlon, Laci Santos placed 12th with 2,521 points. She took first in the shot put, tying her program record of 10.55M and was fourth in the 60M hurdles (9.84).
HOW IT HAPPENED (LYNN RUDDY INVITATIONAL):
- Kaleigh West placed 17th in the weight throw (8.98M).
- Gabriella Walazek was 19th in the shot put (6.76M).

- Wentworth completes the regular season next Saturday at Wheaton.
