Women’s Soccer Draws with Roger Williams in Season Finale
Shyla Kulesza made eight saves as the Leopards played to a draw at Roger Williams in the season finale.

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team and Roger Williams finished in a 0-0 draw on a rainy Tuesday evening in Rhode Island. The Leopards finish the season with a 7-5-7 overall record and a 2-5-3 mark in conference play. Roger Williams ends their season with a 5-1-4 record in league action and a 10-2-6 overall record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Neither side registered a shot on goal for the first 15 minutes as the two sides looked to establish control in the game. Roger Williams had two quick shots in the 16th and 17th minutes, but Kulesza stopped both to keep the game scoreless.
- Wentworth's first attempt came from Emily Hagen, a shot that went high. Kulesza made her third save of the half after the Hawks tallied another shot on target in the 31st minute. Brooke Finlay's shot in the 44th minute was the Leopards' first attempt on target.
- Lily Carlson forced a save from Marrelli just 46 seconds into the second half and Kulesza made another stop just under two minutes later. Hagen and Lina Arlander registered two shots in 30 seconds in the 55th minute, but Marrelli saved both efforts. The Hawks answered with two shots on target in four minutes, both stopped by Kulesza.
- The Leopards had three corners in the game half while Roger Williams had eleven. Shots finished 18-7 and shots on goal were 6-4 in favor of the Hawks. Kaitlyn Alagno had a chance in the 84th, creating space and getting a shot through at the near post. Kulesza dove to her left and made the spot, keeping the game level. Roger Williams had a shot blocked late and the game finished scoreless.
- Coco Marrelli made four saves for Roger Williams while Kulesza stopped eight shots. The Hawks had a 12-3 advantage in corner kicks and a 24-7 shot advantage.
