Men’s Lacrosse Tripped Up By Endicott
Tony Corrado led the offense with four goals while Gavin Lawrence and Tyler Longo each added two goals

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team fell to the Endicott Gulls 15-11 in an exciting Conference of New England battle on Friday night. Tony Corrado tallied four goals while Gavin Lawrence scored two goals and tallied two assists. Tyler Longo added a goal and an assist while Chuck Urda had six ground balls. AJ Smith made 12 saves and fell to 5-5 this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Leopards took the lead four minutes into the game behind Corrado's goal from Kroll. Endicott answered three minutes later with Joseph Tumolo's tally tying the game. The Gulls scored two goals to end the quarter and lead 3-1 after 15 minutes.
- Nick Graap pushed the lead to 4-1 before Lawrence set up Corrado for his second of the game to make it 4-2. Endicott scored the next three goals to stretch their lead to 7-2 after Tommy Tyksinski's man-up goal. Dante Strong set up Lawrence in the final two minutes to bring the Leopards within four goals at the halftime break.
- AJ Smith made six first half saves for Wentworth. The Leopards held an 8-2 edge at the x at the halftime break.
- Kroll scored a man-up goal 13 seconds into the second half, but Tumolo's tally 30 seconds later put the Gulls back in front by four. Lawrence and Longo scored a pair of goals in less than a minute to make it a two-goal game before two tallies from Corrado tied the game 8-8. Endicott rattled off three goals to end the frame and take an 11-8 lead into the fourth quarter.
- Tyksinski and Graap scored two goals in five seconds to push the Gulls' lead to 13-8 four minutes into the fourth. Longo's man-up goal cut the deficit to four but two goals from the Gulls restored their seven-goal lead.
- Colin Ocampo finished off a nice pass from Lawrence with 1:50 to go and Gabe Cobham added an unassisted goal with 1:15 to play to make it 15-11. Wentworth battled until the end, but the comeback fell short and the Leopards fell to 1-3 in conference play.
